So two saturdays ago Riley decided that he needed a haircut right then and there. I offered to buzz it, which was mostly said in jest but he took me up on the offer. So we went over to my parents house grabbed the shaver, scissors and a towel and headed outside. Riley chose the longest setting still wanting to hold onto a bit of his thick beautiful hair no doubt. I pulled out my scissors and began to trim up his mane to make the shaving a bit easier. I'm not going to lie it was hard to see all of that hair go, i love it, not more then the man of course but I love running my hands through it. Anyway I trimmed it up and then went at it with the shaver, I had no idea one head could hold so much hair. Well he asked me to trim up his sideburns a little and just as he was saying "but don't go too high" I went too high. I began to panic before truly assesing the severity of the situation. Riley was like seriously?, "you do understand that you are going to have to shave my hole head now." I kept saying oh it's not that bad just let me fix it, even though I was freaking out inside like what am I going to do now. Of course I offered to do some decorative work to hide my error you know keep the mood light but he wouldn't let me near that side of his head. I mean his hair grows like a weed anyway so by morning I will have to buzz it again anyway. I of course apologized and ran inside to find a mirror to show him the damage which he decided wasn't that bad afterall and he let me trim up the rest of his head. He did some fancy fade action and all in all you can't tell. Riley's first hair cut went well only one minor incident, I'm not sure he will let me near his head for awhile with a pair of scissors that is but come on I was slightly distracted by his shirtless torso, can't really blame a girl for being a girl. p.s. Torrey was outside and as I was running into the house to grab a mirror and I distinctly heard her say"Riley is buck naked" thanks Torrey for the comic relief!
p.s.s. I have decided that I LOVE Riley's short hair
